UAE News, Electric Vehicles
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the installation of 50 new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across strategic locations in the city, including shopping malls, public parking zones, and major highways.
The move is part of the UAE's initiative to boost clean energy and sustainable transport, aiming to support the growing number of electric vehicles on the road. The new fast-charging stations will be compatible with most EV brands and are expected to reduce charging time significantly.
According to the RTA, this is a key step toward achieving Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050, targeting 30% of all vehicles to be electric by 2030.
Quote from RTA Official:
"We are investing in a cleaner future and encouraging residents to make the switch to electric," said Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency.
